Google Bard is an artificial intelligence system created by, as you might easily guess, Google. Its main function is to generate text based on information provided by the user in a dedicated chat room. Bard can be used for many things: writing outlines for blog posts or articles, emails, poems, reviews and other types of text. So, in theory, you can save a lot of time and effort with this tool, but how is it in practice? Can Google Bard already help us allocate more time to what is really important to us in our personal lives and at work, leaving issues such as editing long emails or writing photo descriptions on Instagram behind?”

What is Google Bard and how to use it?

Google Bard is based on the GPT-3 model, which is one of the largest and most powerful artificial intelligence models in the world. Thanks to this, Bard is able to generate texts that are not only grammatically correct, but also logical and understandable to the average user. The system learns from a huge amount of data, which allows it to generate text at a high level.

Unfortunately, as of today (April 12, 2023) Google Bard is not yet available in Poland. However, if we are very keen on using this tool, we can use the VPN system and change the server to one located in the US or UK. This will allow us to join a waiting list and use Google Bard earlier than if we try to use it in Poland. Even then, however, we will not “talk” to Bard in Polish – it is not yet available in the tool’s language portfolio.

So when can we expect Google Bard to be available for general use in Poland? I asked this question to the system itself, and unfortunately – I did not receive a clear answer, but only the following announcement:

There is no specific date set for when Google Bard will be available in Poland, but it is likely that it will be available in the near future”

(English. “There is no specific date set for when Google Bard will be available in Poland, but it is likely that it will be available in the near future.”)

    How does Google Bard work?”

The process of how Bard works is to analyze the input given by the user, and then generate responses that have logical meaning and grammatically correct form.

The key element of Google Bard’s operation is the recognition of the user’s intentions – the system analyzes the input, such as a question or request, and then tries to understand what the user really wants from it, based on that. To do this, Bard uses the aforementioned machine learning algorithms, through which it is able to “learn” different ways to ask questions and recognize user intent.

Another important aspect of Google Bard is context analysis. The system analyzes the context of the input data to understand exactly what the user is talking about. For example, if a user asks Bard for a cake recipe, the system will analyze keywords from the question, such as “cake” or “recipe”, to answer the question appropriately and in a context that the user will understand. Ultimately, Google Bard generates an answer that is grammatically correct and logically consistent. The system is constantly learning and evolving to improve the quality of answers. Bard is capable of generating text that looks like it was written by a human, making it one of the most powerful artificial intelligence tools on the market, at least for the moment, as the field is growing at a dizzying pace.

An interesting feature of the Google Bard tool is the “Google it” function, which displays next to each of the answers generated by the tool. The “Google it” feature works by using the Google Search API, a tool for developers to access Google searches from within their own applications. When you click on the “Google it” button next to the query response generated by Google Bard, the tool just uses the Google Search API to search for information on the topic of interest. It then redirects us to a summary of the information it finds using the search engine.

Instead of fiddling with artificial intelligence, better rely on the experts!

Experiments are good, but only if you know how to conduct them. We know, and we’ll be happy to help you choose the right strategy and advertising channels for your purpose!

Applications of Google Bard in digital marketing

Google Bard is not only a tool that can help you write handouts, emails or poems. It is also a valuable ingredient in digital marketing that can make marketers’ work much easier and improve the quality of their efforts.

One example of the use of Google Bard in digital marketing is the use of the tool to create ad text in platforms such as Facebook Ads and Google Ads. We have previously written about using ChatGPT for this purpose, but Bard can be just as effective. The system is able to generate advertising texts that are tailored to users’ intentions and needs. This makes the ads more effective and attracts more potential customers.

Another example of the use of Google Bard in online marketing is to use it to create content for a website or blog The system can help you generate articles that are well-targeted with content and value. This makes creating content for a website faster and more efficient.

The benefits of using Google Bard for digital marketing are numerous. First of all, the system saves time that would otherwise be spent writing advertising texts or articles for a website. In addition, through the use of machine learning, Bard can help create more effective and relevant content, resulting in more effective marketing efforts. For the moment, however, Google Bard will only help us if we want our texts to be generated in English, or another language listed in a dedicated Google Support article.

ChatGPT versus Google Bard – tool comparison

Both ChatGPT and Google Bard are two innovative tools based on artificial intelligence and machine learning technology, which have recently gained great popularity among users in various industries. Both of these platforms offer the ability to automatically generate texts, which can be very useful in many situations, from writing articles to creating content for social media. However, despite their similar functionalities, ChatGPT and Google Bard differ in many aspects, such as how they work, their capabilities, their range of applications, and their efficiency.

When comparing the two tools, one of the main aspects to look at is their efficiency. As Google Bard is still in the testing phase, the texts generated are more often erroneous and confusing than those offered to us by ChatGPT. Theoretically, however, the overall effectiveness depends on which text we care most about. After all, ChatGPT was designed as a tool for creating virtual assistants, chatbots and generating text on a variety of topics, while Google Bard is made specifically for generating specific types of content, such as reviews, handouts, poems and emails, so naturally in these aspects it is the one that may prove more effective, especially when it is further refined in the near future.

Another issue is accessibility, which I have already mentioned a bit. Using ChatGPT, we can type messages in Polish and ask for translations into that language, while with Google Bard we don’t have that option for the time being. Another aspect is that Google Bard is not available in Poland at the moment, while ChatGPT – as much as possible.

Another important aspect to consider in the comparison is the price. ChatGPT-3 offers multiple pricing plans that are available to different customer groups. Google Bard, on the other hand, due to the fact that it is still in the experimental phase, does not yet have a specific price, and it is unclear how the issue will develop in the near future and whether the tool will be free or paid once it is put into use.

    At-a-glance…

Google Bard is an AI system developed by Google that generates text based on information provided by the user. It is based on the GPT-3 model, one of the largest and most powerful AI models in the world, which allows it to generate not only grammatically correct, but also logical and comprehensible text. Although not yet available in Poland, it is possible to access Bard using a VPN and changing the server to one located in the US or UK, where the tool is available after joining a waiting list. The tool can be used for a variety of purposes, such as writing outlines for blog posts or articles, emails, poems, reviews and other types of text, but also for the text of advertisements or social media posts, making it useful for marketers creating ads in English.

The system works by analyzing user input to generate grammatically correct and logical answers. Google Bard is constantly learning and improving, allowing it to generate higher and higher quality texts each time it is used. Although the availability of Google Bard in Poland remains unknown, it is likely that the opportunity to use it will come to us in the near future.
